After an 27 amazing years of building, growing and nurturing the Showshack brand and all its wonderful students (both past and present) Pauline Thomson has decided to step down and enjoy her well deserved retirement.
So we are now incredibly excited to share with you all that Maria Morrison, one of our extremely talented teachers who has been with us for over 9 years now, has taken over the reins as the new Principal and cannot wait to start her own Showshack journey!
“Dear Parents and future parents of Showshack,
I am delighted to reach out to you as the new owner of Showshack, and I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share my enthusiasm for this wonderful business we are all a part of.
My name is Maria Morrison, (many of you will recognise me as your child’s LAMDA teacher) and I am thrilled to be stepping into the role of principal.
I always knew at an early age I wanted to be involved in the arts and left my family home in Scotland at the age of 17 to pursue my dreams. I attended Hurtwood House in Surrey for two years which allowed me to concentrate on building my qualifications, improve my skills in performing arts and secure a place at drama school. I trained in Musical Theatre at the Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford and have performed as well as taught and managed at different stage schools for the last 10 years.
It has been my dream to own a performing arts school and I am confident I can bring many exciting and fresh ideas to Showshack which I am excited to share with you all in the near future.
Building on its already excellent foundation, I would like to assure you that it is my priority to maintain the legacy that Showshack holds, with its commitment to nurturing talent and allowing students to express themselves and their love for the arts. My aim is to ensure that each student receives the guidance, attention and opportunities they deserve.

I would like to extend my thanks to Pauline and congratulate her on building the school into what it has become today. I wish her all the very best and look forward to taking Showshack from strength to strength.
Finally, I want to thank you all for your continued support and trust in Showshack. I cannot wait to embark on this journey with you all and witness the growth and success of each and every student at Showshack!
