RAD Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance)
Junior Ballet: Pre-School – Grade 3 Ballet
Our pre-school classes develop basic movement skills, musical awareness, expression and creativity. Classes incorporate storytelling, dress-up and creative play whilst introducing the basic principles of ballet technique.
The Pre-Primary in Dance and Primary in Dance syllabi develop students’ physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality using a range of sounds and musical styles. The syllabi prepare students for a successful transition to ballet and other dance genres at higher levels.
Examinations begin at Pre-Primary level through to Grade 3.
Ballet Dance classes are available to children from age 3 years.
The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world’s leading dance examination boards.
Since 1920 they have provided training for dance teachers and examiners, enabling their teachers to enter their students for examinations, develop new techniques and spread the joy of dance.
Our examinations are recognised by Ofqual and contribute to GCSE’s, A levels and UCAS points.
RAD Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance)
Senior Ballet: Grade 4 – Grade 6 Ballet
At Showshack Senior Ballet, we provide Ballet through the RAD examination board for Grades 4 through to Grade 6 level.
Our classes will develop you physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality through our classes which are instructed by our fully qualified and RAD approved Ballet Teachers.
These classes are aimed at students to advance their capabilities within this genre of dance and to meet the required standard for our advanced classes.

RAD’s mission is to educate the public in the art of dancing in all its forms, to promote knowledge of dance, to provide up-to-date techniques for its members, and to maintain and improve teaching standards.
