Information for Tutors

Are you a highly skilled performer with a passion for teaching and inspiring students? Interested in joining one of the UK’s most successful independent Dance & Theatre Schools? Read on….

We carefully select and recruit industry professionals to become accredited tutors who share our passion for teaching. We’re keen for our tutors to remain actively performing too – as a result of their own experience as industry professionals, many of our team members can pass on relevant and valuable knowledge of the industry to their students.

We are always looking for new tutors to join us. We offer unique syllabuses to work from that are fully accredited along with LAMDA tuition in Drama and Musical Theatre. Our office based team organise lessons, timetables, rotas and all other administrative matter, leaving you the time to concentrate on being the best teacher you can be!

If you’d like to join us, you must:

  • Share our passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation of performers.
  • Have Drama/Dance qualifications, teaching certificates or degree.
  • Have access to a vehicle to use for travel.

Disclosure & Barring Service Checks

Most opportunities that Showshack may offer involve unsupervised work with children and as such are exempt from the 1974 Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, requiring applicants to give full details of any criminal record including cautions, reprimands and spent convictions.

Applicants will be required to apply for an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service, and any appointments made will be subject to a satisfactory response from this and reference checks.
